Studies the fundamental biological mechanisms that allow animals to deal with the challenges of Life on Earth.
By applying multi-disciplinary approaches we focus on:
i) the molecular mechanisms that regulate development of organisms from fertilization to adulthood, and
ii) the genomic, cellular, and neural machineries underlying the biological, physiological and behavioural plasticity implicated in evolution.
