Research interests
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Turin and the Master’s degree in Marine Biology from the University of Bologna. My academic background enables me to develop a strong interest in studying marine biodiversity and analyzing the anthropogenic pressures that affect its conservation.
During my studies, I took part in monitoring activities and research projects that allowed me to investigate the relationship between marine organisms and environmental conditions. These experiences enabled me to develop skills in managing and integrating complex datasets, as well as using digital tools to study species distribution related to climatic and anthropogenic changes.
I am currently a research fellow at the Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn, where I collaborate on the CRIMAC project. My work focuses on the analysis of the distribution of microplastics and their impact on biodiversity in the coastal areas of Calabria, to identify the most vulnerable areas and contribute to the sustainable management of these ecosystems.
