Research interests

I graduated in Natural Sciences and Ecobiology from the University of Rome "La Sapienza." During my studies, I developed a particular interest in evolutionary biology, which continued during my time as a research fellow at the Department of Biology at the University of Rome Tre. During this period, I was able to consolidate my knowledge and laboratory techniques on studies concerning molecular phylogeny.
Currently, I am a research fellow at the Calabria Marine Centre within the CRIMAC project. Part of this project focuses on studying the diversity of octocorals in the Mediterranean basin. Specifically, I am applying integrated taxonomy techniques to combine morphological and molecular data to achieve a more accurate classification of the organisms studied.
