Research Interests
I have a degree in Coastal and Marine Biology and Ecology, and my main interests are in marine invertebrates and their role in ecosystems to contribute to their conservation and the sustainable management of coastal areas. I am currently working on a PhD in collaboration with the Genoa Marine Centre (GMC) of the Anton Dohrn Zoological Station and the University of Pisa, focusing on the effects of artificial lights at night on the behaviour of two key marine resources (Mytilus galloprovincialis and Paracentrotus lividus) and their associated ecological communities. This work will allow me to explore a topic of increasing relevance in marine ecology and how anthropogenic impacts can affect the balance of ecosystems.
