Research Interests
My research activities primarily focus on the responses of coralline algae to climate change. Specifically, Corallinales are considered ecosystem engineers due to their ability to form submerged and partially emerged CaCO3 bioconstructions. These algae play a key role in regulating inorganic carbon concentrations in surface waters. Additionally, their high magnesium content makes them ideal organisms for studying climate change-related phenomena and its potential mitigation.
