The call for Sessions and Workshops for the World Seagrass Conference (WSC2024) & 15th International Seagrass Biology Workshop (ISBW15) (Napoli, 17-21 June 2024) is now open (www.isbw15.it)

The deadline for submitting a Session or Workshop proposal is 10th September 2023.

Once the ISBW15 Scientific Committee has selected session topics, we will open a call for abstracts submissions on early October 2023.

Please note that if you are proposing a session topic, it is not required that you have a list of speakers already identified and determined. If your proposed session is selected, you will be in charge of selecting speakers for each session from the pool of abstracts submitted. There will be an opportunity during the abstract submission process for the submitter to select the session or sessions in which they'd like to present.

Session’s conveners will be asked to organize a short (15min) plenary talk for highlighting main topics and session aims, that will be schedule the same day of the session.

ISBW15 and WSC24 will focus on “Seagrasses in the Anthropocene”

The three main themes are:

Theme 1 - Seagrass responses to environmental change

Theme 2 - Seagrass community diversity and species interactions

Theme 3 - Seagrass conservation, management and citizen science.

Sessions and workshops proposals that combine different themes and/or include cross-disciplinary data and analysis are encouraged.

Call for PhD students n. 2/2023

N. 1 Ph.D. fellowship is available to carry out interdisciplinary training in Biological Sciences at the Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn in Naples (Italy).
Applications are invited from suitably qualified postgraduate candidates.
